Consign Construction Skills has been nominated lead delivery partner to deliver a Group Training Association (GTA) project in conjunction with Exemplas. The objective of the programme is to determine the best ways to provide training information, advice and guidance to construction companies and identify the most effective ways to attract and retain apprentices.
The two year contract, which is funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), was awarded to Exemplas working in partnership with Consign following a competitive tender process. Initially focusing on SME’s in construction in the Eastern Region, it is intended that the results of this initiative will inform the development of similar programmes in other regions.

The GTA will also establish new and develop existing channels to support construction companies’ engagement with other service providers such as Train to Gain, Business Link and ConstructionSkills to ensure that their training and development is ongoing to support their long-term business aims.
